This course is designed to assist participants in understanding the effects of alcoholism and other chemical addiction related problems influencing the Aboriginal adolescent. The course focuses on developing an understanding of human development from conception to adolescence, including physiological/neurological development, the impact of intergenerational trauma, family dysfunction, adolescent chemical addiction, relapse and recovery.
