This course is designed to provide students with a knowledge base and understanding of indigenous peoples. Students will explore how history corresponds to the situation indigenous peoples are currently in. The following themes are included: impacts of colonization, epidemics, settlement, indigenous resistance and survival, and the nation rebuilding processes operating in indigenous communities.
