The Student Success Centre (SSC) is a space where a sense of community has taken its natural place among students, staff, faculty, and our Elders. It is this sense of community that allows all students the ability to experience a wraparound support that comes with the demands of Post-Secondary education. With our 'any learner, anywhere' learner-centred approach and environment, we offer a designated space for students to access.
- Computers,
- Staff and tutors
- A safe space to work/study
- A space to grab something hot to drink
- Or a snack to get you through the day
In addition to these we also offer
- In person or online one-on-one or group tutoring
- Wellness support or referrals
- Academic skill development
- Planning and facilitating accommodations
- And a space to share and celebrate your achievements
And with great pleasure we invite you to join our Learning Commons Team where we collectively host various workshops and events.
- Workshops that help student acquire effective learning and study skills, including; time management, reading textbooks, learning from lectures, note taking, exam preparation, and writing etc.
- Events that will be sure to inspire you both personally and/or academically.
Please feel free to utilize our online booking platform to book an appointment or email Lisa DeWinter at ldewinter@nvit.ca
